Dwain Ingram, born to Mr. James and Bertha Ingram of Plant City, Florida, was educated in the Hillsborough County Public School System.  Mr. Ingram graduated from Plant City High School in 1970.  Mr. Ingram received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stillman College, Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1974, at which time he began his musical career as a member of the Stillman College Concert Choral.  There he toured extensively throughout America from several years under the directorship extraordinaire, Professor James Arthur William.  Mr. Ingram is a proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.  He is a very dedicated and exuberant educator with the Dade County Public School System, where he is recognized as a multi-talented educator, as evidenced by the many honors and awards presented to him.  Some of the awards received: Miami Coral Park Teacher of the Year 1991-92; Outstanding Young American 1992; Social Studies Teacher of the Year 1997 (Dade County); the State of Florida Social Studies Teacher of the Year 1997; Heart of City Cultural Arts Series; Vanguard Award 2000; GMWA Miami Chapter Award of Excellence 2001.  Mr. Ingram is presently a Social Studies teacher at Miami Coral Park Senior High School, there he teaches Law Studies and American Government and Economics.  Mr. Ingram in very active as an advisor with the Miami Coral Park Youth Crime Watch, and the Young Lawyers and Politician Interest Club. 

 In 1975 Mr. Ingram organized The Ingram Gospel Singers.  This profound group is comprised of talented Christ-centered individuals from various churches of all denominations throughout the South Florida community.  The Ingrams recorded their latest CD under the Blackberry Records label entitled “Southern Cooking” which was released on November 27, 2001.  Mr. Ingram has worked with many renown Gospel Artists including Edwin and Walter Hawkins, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, The William Brothers and the late great Reverend James Moore and James Cleveland.

Mr. Ingram has been married to Glenda Levels Ingram for the past 26 years and they are the proud parents of three lovely children, Shenavia, Stankedrian (drummer on his father’s CD project) and Dionovan (a middle-schooler).  Mr. Ingram is an active member of the New Birth Baptist Church under the capable leadership of Bishop Victor T. Curry.  He is currently the musician for the New
Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Albert Jones and is currently the Vice President of the Florida Gospel Announcers Guild.
